In this definition, happiness sounds temporary, though we all want it to be constant. It may only happen occasionally throughout our lives.

You’ve probably heard someone blame their unhappiness on someone else or disregard their own involvement attributing unhappiness to bad luck. These are thoughts that will keep happiness at bay.
So, how can you enjoy more happiness? One way is learning to let go of worry about something that happened in the past or something that could possibly happen in the future. Instead, focus on what is happening right now. Learn to redirect your thoughts by staying present.
Your breath is always present-- it is keeping you alive, it is constant, and it is happening now. Take a few minutes to notice your breath pattern and start to count the length of your inhale and exhale. Keep your mind connected to this count until you begin to feel a sense of calmness and then you should feel more present in the here and now.
