Last month, a friend graciously invited me to join her at a Reiki level one training. The experience gave me great clarity and calmness that lasted for days.
The experience convinced me that there are real benefits to using energy as a holistic approach to natural healing. Energy healing dates back thousands of years. It’s a non-religion based belief that goes by many names, such as Ki, Chi, Prana, and Holy Spirit – all refer to energy as The Universal Life Force.
We all have energy; it is part of our birthright. Try this experiment: Start by simply holding your hands in prayer position with just a small space between your palms, then close your eyes, and bring attention to what you’re feeling. Some say it feels like a magnetic force – that’s your energy. It is important because we are all connected through energy; it reaches around the globe and back again.
Why is this important? Scientists have proven that energy exists and that the healing properties can make you feel healthy, happy and peaceful. When you have low energy possibly from stress, your energy is low and you feel lethargic and are potentially more susceptible to illness. Here are a few ways to increase your energy: eat healthy, think positively (meditation), and establish a breath practice (prana).
