STOTT Pilates (purchased through Merrithew Co.)
This mat is perfect for Pilates, though too soft and squishy for yoga. I found it also lacks durability, it quickly started to shred pills. PROS-This mat is designed with just the right amount of cushion for the spine when doing Pilates and relatively light weight. It can be pricey, though watch for sales.
World Market (a gift from friend)
The decorative design of this Mat is beautiful, so I've made it my designated home practice mat. The only drawback is the plastic smell when you first unwrap it, this goes away after a few days. PROS-I absolutely love the look of this mat, it is sticky and has the right cushioning for both yoga and pilates.
YogaRat (Ross Store & Amazon)
I've owned 2 of these, as you can see my purple one is worn out so I needed a new one. Priced reasonably for quality. PROS-fun designs, sticky, cushioned, durable/long lasting,
GAIAM Mat (bought at Target)
Love this mat, actually the least expensive of all that I've owned and one of my favorites. PROS - 3mm, sticky, no stretching
Kulae (bought online) $$$
Most expensive mat I've ever owned and the one I like the least! This mat is quite thin and stretchy even in a cool environments. PROS-reversable and light weight.
